Inspired by a distorted crime-scene imaginary, “Blood on the Pavement” by Athens based slowed-down music wizard Anatolian Weapons is Marguerite Records’ 9th release.
Front side, entirely curated by the Greek producer, contains 3 EBM-esque, mid tempo dancefloor ready cuts - ranging from the trippy 303 workout in “Blood on the Pavement” on A1 to the more stripped down “The Word is Hate” on A3.
Flip side is a proper Daniel Holt takeover!
First cut it’s his version of the title track, characterized by an all around saturation, an heavy tom workout and a VHS sounding synth lead. On B2 the Nashville artist takes on “Death on the Pavement” and brings an unexpected New Beat taste to the jam.

Limited edition of 50 professionally dubbed tapes.

Dirty semi-loops, dirty sounds, grind tunes. Spotted some flutes and other instruments in there. Brilliant album. Maybe the best out of META MOTO 1 2 and 3 - I have them all on random play across all three. Particularly like this song for some reason, though not sure why. All three are worth getting if you like any of them. Rich H
